In my piece Thank You For Sending Me An Angel, I wanted to explore the dynamic between queer relationships, particularly with those who experience finding an intense but temporary kindred spirit. During the best of times, queer relationships develop a level of synchronicity where  it feels as though two people are becoming one entity through being open and vulnerable with each other. In those moments it is difficult to remember what one’s life was like before forming a connection to this person, and long after a part of one’s soul feels missing.  This act of building and rebuilding a life with someone is a constant cycle of life, but this piece is meant to illustrate why being open to love in all of its messiness is painful at times, but worth it all the same.
