Kala Cree Cullars is an Artist, Author, Speaker and Substance Abuse Counselor based in Chicago, IL. Her art confronts the observer with a visceral experience. Kala creates reality on both immaterial and material canvas alike. She has authored two books of poetry--her most recent work, Memoir of a Ghost, includes affirmation. Her highest intention is to inspire people to connect with their own divinity and creativity. Her work also explores human consciousness and the human spirit.

Her work has been featured in various literary magazines and books such as Garland Court Review, High Shelf Press, and Beyond Words--to name a few. Her debut book of poetry and art, Human Experiencing, was self-published in February 2022. Aside from a multitude of festivals such as Gold Coast, Hyde Park, Wells Street and so on, her work has also been exhibited at the Zhou B Gallery, the Martin, Zolla/Lieberman Gallery, The Other Art Fair, Stola Contemporary, Kavanagh Gallery, Chicago’s Fine Art Salon, and the Fulton Street Collective.
