Kiss

By Ezra Agustín

Ezra Agustín is a queer photographer based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and is currently pursuing his BFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His work focuses on the themes of memory, identity, love, and loss through analog processes and material studies. Analog techniques allow a moment to be embedded on a physical surface, taking a new shape and becoming a body of its own, subject to the passage of time. Agustín uses his camera as a vessel for retrospection, using the device to simultaneously look outwards and within.

The majority of his work takes the form of zines- independently published books printed and distributed on accessible materials. The distribution of his work speaks to the fragmentation of self in the pursuit of connection and community.
