Alex Gonzalez is a Chicago based Illustrator and comic artist with a particular interest in the macabre. Through their Illustrations they feature ideas and themes around the Monstrous Feminine, horror, as well as the inclusion of Emo and Goth subculture.  Their philosophy around their work is that, through facing fear, you find a mirror showing us what lies beneath our initial judgements and preconceived notions about things that go beyond movies, art, and literature. Horror films and content are symbolic of our fear of change and the disruption of the status quo.
